In a dusty corner of an ancient Apothecary sat a collection of candles, each one a whispered secret from the magical world, each scent a miniature flicker of enchantment.

A stout, amber jar sat waiting. Unlit, it offered only a faint whisper of its secrets, a promise of a shadowed classroom filled with simmering cauldrons. Strike a match, however, and the air thickened instantly. It was a scent that commanded respect, a deep, resonant thump of dark, bitter chocolate, unsweetened and profound, like ancient cocoa beans ground in a stone mortar.

Beneath this richness swirled a ghost of something sweeter: toasted mallow, a smoky, sugary warmth that brought to mind low, crackling fires in a stone hearth, the kind where stories of great and terrible wizards were whispered late into the night.
But this was no confectioner's treat. A sharp, almost acrid note pierced the sweetness—the unmistakable tang of scorched willow, redolent of the crackle of a freshly stoked fire or the sharp, clean scent of a wand-wood workshop.
